My work is not limited to correcting a list of known errors. I review the file as a whole, follow the business story behind the numbers, and identify issues that may not be immediately visible. I want to understand not only what is wrong, but how the problems developed and what they affect.
That judgment comes from experience. I have completed approximately 300 cleanup projects over the past eight years, involving different industries, business structures, bookkeeping methods, and levels of complexity. I have seen what can go wrong in a QuickBooks Online file, including the less obvious problems that become apparent only when the file is examined as a whole.
How We Will Work Together
When you engage CleanUp Consultants, you work directly with me. Your project is not passed to a junior team member or an outside contractor.
I work directly with your firm as an independent cleanup specialist. I lead the cleanup according to my established scope, process, and engagement terms. Your firm remains responsible for its ongoing client relationship and serves as the point of communication between CleanUp Consultants and the client.
I apply professional judgment throughout the cleanup, drawing on my understanding of accounting principles, entity structure, business activity, and the basic tax considerations that affect how transactions should be reflected in the books. When an issue requires a tax position or determination from your firm or the tax preparer, I document it clearly and bring it to your attention.
At the end of a TurnKey CleanUp Project, I provide a corrected QuickBooks Online file with clear written findings, any unresolved items, notes for the tax preparer, and recommendations for your team moving forward.
My Background
I earned a Business Management degree from the University of Texas and have spent most of my professional life as an entrepreneur. That experience gave me a practical understanding of how businesses operate and how important it is for the financials to reflect the reality behind the transactions.
I founded my firm in 2018. Over time, my work evolved toward challenging QuickBooks Online cleanup projects, which are now the sole focus of my practice at CleanUp Consultants. In 2024, I founded Books Prep, its sister company, to provide cleanup services directly to business owners while CleanUp Consultants serves accounting, bookkeeping, and tax firms exclusively.
I am a Certified Digital Bookkeeper and maintain a QuickBooks Level 2 certification, formerly known as Advanced ProAdvisor. Beyond those credentials, I bring thousands of hours of experience investigating what happened inside real QuickBooks Online files.
Life Beyond Books
When I am not working through QuickBooks Online files, I love staying active, hanging out with my pampered dachshund, Lucy, and spending time with my grown son, Graham.
